In an unique ambiance, equine veterinarians with interest in sport horses are able to attend a 2-day veterinary conference with international top speakers and relax watching the fabulous shows and contests during the 53rd edition of Jumping Amsterdam.
A combination between sport and education is made during the 8th Veterinary Sport Horse Congress. This congress with a focus on sport horse management will be held at Amsterdam RAI at 20 and 21 January 2012.
Again an interesting program with international speakers who lecture about sport horse management, orthopeadic problems, injury management and treatment as well as clinical lameness cases. Within the attractive ambiance and the combination with the event Jumping Amsterdam, this Proveto conference will be worth to visit.

The program of the first conference day contains specific hindlimb problem as the differentiation between hock and suspensory pain and proximal suspensory desmitis. Multi-modality imaging methods and digital sheath pathology as well as poor performance are some of the topics in the afternoon program. This first conference day closes with an interesting panel on the veterinary controversies in managing teams up to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Saturday 21 January 2012
The variety of topics in the Saturday program contain neck problems, sacroiliac pain, foot lameness and soft tissue injuries. This conference day finishes with the annual "International Prepurchase Panel". Due to the attendance of a lot of international sport horse veterinarians the discussion about the prepurchase examination of the sport horse stays actual. The international speakers will present several cases in which the prepurchase examination is discussed.

Extra Information
At both days, after the lectures, Proveto offers All Inclusive participants of the Veterinary Sport Horse Congress the possibility to have dinner at the Jumping Amsterdam event and enjoy the sports. At this moment (per 31-12-2011), unfortunately the Hospitality Unit of Jumping Amsterdam is fully booked! We can offer Full Congress All Inclusive participants an alternative 3-course dinner in the Holland Restaurant and tickets for Jumping Amsterdam, so you are able to watch the international show jumping 1.50 mtr (in combination with all inclusive registration, limited places of 20!!).
